This Wisconsin Jewish Death and Burial Index is a compilation of information from many sources, including data gathered from death notices published in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle. Additional research was pursued through cemetery records and recorded pertinent data. The Jewish Museum Milwaukee would like to thank Penny Deshur for her commitment to this project.
In addition, members of the Wisconsin Jewish Genealogical Society visited some of the Jewish cemeteries in Milwaukee and surrounding areas, where they recorded and photographed numerous tombstones. The records are not complete for several Milwaukee area cemeteries.
This is an ongoing project, in the hopes of having a complete and accurate record of all Wisconsin Jewish Burials. We welcome any assistance. Please notify our archivist (archives@jewishmuseummilwaukee.org) of any additions or corrections to this index.
